For the nine years I spent teaching as a freelance language teacher, my information was spread across all those places I'd rather not name. Being a freelance language teacher means "I teach and laugh a lot with my students" and also "I set my own schedule and work when I want, doing something I love." Switching systems is a pain, I know. We humans resist change, even change for the better. So don't overcomplicate it. Instead of comparing endless features or watching ten YouTube tutorials, ask yourself three questions: does it solve my biggest headache right now (payments, scheduling, progress…)? Can I understand it in five minutes, or do I need a degree to use it? Can I try it before committing?

This is maybe an open secret, but a tool that needs a two-hour tutorial to get started is not going to save you time. If you have to pour hours into learning it, it's not the tool for you, no matter how much it looks like it could fly you to the Moon. Remember: you don't need to go to the Moon. You need your students and your schedule loaded in, and to think, "wait... that took no time at all!"
