What is the main difference between SmartCookie and Google Calendar?

Google Calendar is a calendar for any kind of event, with one booking page on a personal Google account and paid bookings on Google Workspace. SmartCookie is built for language teachers and works with it: your lessons show up in Google Calendar, and packs, attendance, lesson notes and card or Bizum payments sit next to them. SmartCookie is our product, so keep that in mind.

Who should choose SmartCookie over Google Calendar alone?

Language teachers who sell packs, keep track of attendance and lesson notes, or have students in Spain who pay by Bizum. You keep Google Calendar: SmartCookie puts your lessons there, keeps your busy times out of bookings and can import the lessons already in your calendar.

When is Google Calendar on its own the better choice?

When you have a few students who pay lesson by lesson and one booking page is enough: a personal Google account includes it. If you want the whole Google Workspace suite, Business Standard adds paid bookings, email reminders and up to 20 co-hosts, and costs less per user than SmartCookie. Google takes no fee on payments.

How much does Google Calendar cost, and is SmartCookie cheaper?

No. One booking page comes with a personal Google account. For paid bookings, Google Workspace Business Standard costs €16.20 a month per user, or €13.60 with a 1-year commitment. SmartCookie costs €19 a month for one teacher, or €15.20 billed yearly, and €91 a month for a team of 5, against €81 (or €68) on Workspace. SmartCookie adds packs, attendance, lesson notes and Bizum.

Can I bring my students over from another tool?

Yes. You can import your student list from a CSV, which Google Sheets, Excel or any spreadsheet app can save. No adding them one by one, no starting from scratch.
