Get paid without chasing anyone

SmartCookie keeps a small percentage when your student pays online. Stripe charges its processing fee separately, which is not ours and we take nothing from it. The exact numbers, with an example for the two most common card types, are on the student payments page.

If your student pays you directly, by bank transfer, Bizum or cash, you pay nothing extra.

No. Connecting Stripe is optional and you can disconnect it whenever you want. Without it you can still build a payment request with the classes you have taught, send it to your student, and mark it as paid yourself. Connecting Stripe is what lets your student pay by card or Bizum from the link.

The money goes from your student to your Stripe account, and from Stripe to your bank. SmartCookie never touches it or holds it. Payout timing is set by Stripe and you can see it in your Stripe dashboard.

In SmartCookie the payment request shows as paid the moment your student pays, even if the money takes a few days to land in your bank account.

Yes. The payment is processed by Stripe, the company behind checkout on half the internet, and it meets the PCI standard. Card details go straight to Stripe: neither you nor we ever see them or store them.
